Deep thought for the year

Well, that decade sucked.

Really? I had a good decade?

Of course, John Howard was PM for most of the era.

For me, 2000-2002 was bad. After that, 2003 was OK and 2004 was excellent. The spring of 2005 sucked, but the autumn of 2005 was probably the best period of my life. The year 2006 was so-so.

The first months of 2007 were awful, but the spring and the summer were great. The autumn and the end of the year were a paradoxical anticlimax of accomplishments and disappointments.

The year 2008 was lethargic, but there were some new developments. By the year 2009, those new developments began to bear fruit.

The autumn of 2009 was great, but I have a feeling that it'll be followed by just another disappointment in the spring of 2010.

All in all, I suppose it could have been worse.

Cheers,

J. J.

My personal life had its ups and downs, as they generally do. As Nich points out, it helps if your country isn't being run by Old Man Potter.
